Line graph.png

Line chart: Presents data as a series of points connected by line segments. Useful for visualizing trends over time.

In Stream View, if a date field is used on the horizontal axis, the chart shows a time series on that axis.

In Stream View, if a number field is used on the horizontal axis, the chart shows the numbers across that axis.

Area graph.png

Area chart: Presents an aggregate of the data. Useful for timelines and runs. Helps identify trends quickly by showing totals and how they are moving relative to each other.

In Stream View, if a date field is used on the horizontal axis, the chart shows a time series on that axis.

In Stream View, if a number field is used on the horizontal axis, the chart shows the numbers across that axis.

Pie chart.png

Pie chart: Presents data circularly, divided into slices, where a slice is proportional to the quantity of data it represents as part of the whole. Useful when presenting numerical worth relative to a whole group.

Sunburst.png

Sunburst chart: Presents data as a multilevel pie chart to represent the proportion of different values found at each level in a hierarchy, where each outward ring represents more detailed information relating to the inner ring to which it is connected. Fields containing empty slices are shown as gaps. Useful for numerical analysis of hierarchical data.

Scatter.png

Scatter chart: Presents data to show the relationship between two fields, where each point expresses values through its location and color. Useful for visualizing a large number of data points.

In Stream View, if a date field is used on the horizontal or vertical axis, the chart shows a time series on that axis.

Bubble.png

Bubble chart: Presents data as a set of disks plotted on horizontal and vertical axes, showing the intersection of the x and y values at each data point where each disk expresses values through its location, size, and color. Useful for timelines and when showing the categorical relationship between three sets of numerical measures.

In Stream View, if a date field is used on the horizontal or vertical axis, the chart shows a time series on that axis.

Geo Map.png

Geo Map: Presents a geospatial summary of your data using size, color, and location. Useful for understanding data geographically. The non-measure field needs to be annotated with localization information (through auto-modeling or the Annotate Stream step). You must have a license from Google to use Google Maps with Pentaho software.
