IIoT Core Services is built on top of an infrastructure of platform components, also referred to as Foundry.

IIoT Core Architecture

The platform components include the following:

  • Authentication and authorization API
  • Istio
  • Control plane
  • OS (qualified)
NoteKubernetes is a prerequisite to installing IIoT Core Services.

User management, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), is done in Keycloak, which is provided as a separate component.
