Manage assets

You can use Edge Manager to perform basic operations on assets.

An asset is anything that you define from which you receive data, such as a device, a location, and hardware. Assets can include operational technology (OT) equipment such as machines, vehicles, and sensors.

An asset can be a stand-alone asset or a composite asset consisting of a number of child assets. You can add child assets in multiple levels after the parent asset has been added in the card view or list view.

On the asset inventory page, you can toggle between card view (GUID-98EBCAF2-C365-4891-A8BE-2C870F55A6FF-low.png) and list view (GUID-E5D79FB3-29D0-4E28-877A-B3735EA961D8-low.png).

Here you can also set how notification are issued by using the Notifications Settings button. For more information, see Set notification preferences.
