Integrate the product with the marketplace

This section describes the process followed by the product team and Hitachi Marketplace technical team to integrate an on-premises product.

• For an on-premises product that is not using any cloud or third-party integrations, the product team performs the following actions:
  • Creates a Skytap-compatible image of the product Demo and Trial editions.
  • Uploads the product image to the Artifactory repository. For the POC edition, uploads the product binaries file.
• The Hitachi Marketplace technical team performs the following actions:
  • Provides the endpoint integration URL, which is updated in the Edit Integration section to integrate the product with the marketplace.
  • Uses the automation workflow to pull the product image for the following product editions from the Artifactory repository and create templates in Skytap:

    • Demo

      A Demo edition provides a shared environment with read-only access to multiple users.

    • Trial

      A Trial edition provides a dedicated instance to each user with write access.

    • POC

      For the POC edition, the product binaries file for different operating systems is sent as a downloadable link in an email to the buyer:

      • Windows = .exe
      • Mac = .tar.gz
      • Linux = .bin

This section describes the process followed by the product team and Hitachi Marketplace technical team to integrate a SaaS product with the marketplace.

The product team provides the URL of a fully functional product to the Hitachi Marketplace technical team along with the access permissions.

The Hitachi Marketplace technical team uses the URL to create a tenant environment and then provides the endpoint integration URL, which is updated in the Edit Integration section to integrate the product with the marketplace.
